DaddyQWN/Steph J. is the founder of Quintessential Wonder Nasty (QWN).
Founded in 2018, after Steph J.’s successful career in dance led them into the festival/BurningMan culture they added the arts of clowning, stilts, burlesque and eventually drag into their repertoire. Struggling as a non-binary queer person to find inclusion in the primarily cis-hetero/binary entertainment culture, Steph J found that drag and burlesque are the mediums in which they found their home. This inspired them to create QWN to be a company that gives others a home as well.
From that nexus, QWN has gone on to perform at live events throughout Los Angeles and in 2019, was named one of LA’s top burlesque companies by LA Weekly. Steph J. resides in Los Angeles and is excited to bring more QWN Babe magic to the world through creating more experiences to invite everyone back home.
